Crime Victims Program

Provides services to anyone who has been physically injured as a result of a crime. The program assists clients in:
    • Application assistance for financial reimbursement by the New York State Crime Victims Board
    • Court Advocacy
    • Crisis Counseling
    • Emotional Support

Elderly victims, disabled victims, and victims of child sexual abuse are special populations who do not necessarily have to be physically injured to receive these services.

Victim Advocacy

An advocate can:

  • Accompany and/or negotiate with people on behalf of survivors.
  • Help prepare survivors for interactions with civil court personnel.
  • Meet with survivors and their families involved in the criminal justice system.
  • Provide crisis intervention.
  • Prepare victims for the various stages of the criminal and civil justice system.
