YOUTH DIVISION

Mission Statement:

OCO Youth Services encourages youth and the significant people in their lives to build strengths and make informed decisions about their future.

Programs:

Fulton School Mentoring Program (FSMP) - engages youth and caring adults in forming structured, supportive relationships that build achievement and character.

Horizon House - community home for youth in foster care that provides counseling, educational  support, life skills training and daily living support for 6 youth.

OPTIONS - provides counseling and education in the areas of pregnancy, pre and post-natal care, labor and delivery, parenting and birth control, nutrition, decision making and life skills, and a DADS program.

PATH - transitional living program for homeless young people ages 16-21, that provides the opportunity to learn life skills, complete educational goals and to become self-sufficient.

Rural AfterSchool Program (RASP) - provides youth development, recreation, enrichment and help with homework everyday after school.  The program serves youth in APW, Fulton, Hannibal and Mexico Schools.

Street Outreach Services (SOS) workers go to where youth hang out to give them information and support.  SOS also offers Drop-in Centers in Oswego County.  These centers give youth a safe place for health activities after school.

Youth Enterprise Program (YEP) - an employment skills program for teenagers up to age 21.  Through YEP, youth will gain job readiness skills, on-the-job training, and support to find ongoing employment in the community.  In addition, youth will gain the personal competencies and skills needed for successful employment.

Youth Emergency Services (YES!) - provides emergency services for youth who have run away, are homeless or are at risk.  Are you interested in volunteering to help runaway and homeless youth?  Become a Volunteer Host Family - Click here for more information
