ADVISOR – SAF HOUSE
Grade 6a - Start Rate $12.56 per hour
Full-time –34 hours per week
Sunday – 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Thursday – 3:00 pm to Midnight
Friday – 5:00 pm to Midnight
Saturday – Noon to Midnight
Location: SAF House
SAF has announced the availability of one full-time position to provide direct early intervention services to families and individuals in a residential setting. Candidate will also provide advocacy and care management activities in a respectful, supportive and confidential manner. Duties include crisis intervention; supportive counseling; responding to the crisis hotline; conducting house meetings and co-facilitating a support group for S.A.F. House residents.
The selected candidate must have skills in report writing, casework, and advocacy strategies along with knowledge of the techniques of problems solving, priority setting, and working with families and individuals in crisis in a residential setting.
Minimum requirements for the position include graduation from high school with certified post-high school education; and knowledge of county agencies, S.A.F. programs or programs for populations with special needs, and maintaining a residential facility; OR graduation from High School or GED Program and three (3) years experience working in a residential battered women's program. Candidate must be able to work a flexible work schedule in order to meet the needs of the program. Candidate must have a valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.
