Grade 4 - Start Rate $11.21 per hour

Part-time - 10 hours/week with flexibility

Tuesday & Thursday - 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Friday - 9:00 AM to 11:00AM

Location:  Based in Oswego

Health Education is looking for 3 energetic, outgoing individuals to work with a diverse population of youth including, LGBTQ , building relationships with community members and partners. Applicant will be involved in community events, outreach, promoting sexual health knowledge and health awareness through linkage and navigation to promote HIV testing and retention in health care.


  • Attend all new Youth Health Advocate training and meeting sessions
  • Promote sexual health, including HIV testing, prevention, & harm reduction with peers in local schools and within the community
  • Conduct community based outreach activities
  • Create a sexual health awareness campaign
  • Participate in program and community assessments
  • Participate in community committees and actively participate in the Health Education Community Advisory Board


  • Must be able to work in a leadership role with peers and adults
  • Must have an open minded view, be culturally competent, and able to work in a supportive & non-judgmental manner
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with people from diverse communities including Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender youth and be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to speak effectively in public
  • Must possess the commitment to reducing teen pregnancy and to the prevention of HIV & STDs

Per grant requirements candidates must be between 16 and 24 years and while HIV/STD knowledge is not required, an interest and passion in the sexual health field is.
