F/T PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT II - HOPE HOUSING

Grade 6 – Start Rate of $12.14 per hour

Full-time – 30 hours per week

Schedule 1:

Sunday, Monday & Tuesday – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Wednesday – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Schedule 2:

Wednesday – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Thursday, Friday & Saturday – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Schedule 3:

Wednesday – 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Thursday, Friday & Saturday – 4:00 pm to Midnight

Schedule 4:

Sunday, Monday & Tuesday – 4:00 pm to Midnight

Wednesday – 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Location: Champlain Commons in Scriba

Residential Services Behavioral Health has announced the availability of one position to provide support to the HOPE Housing (Permanent Supportive Housing) Program.

  • Assists with the daily routine operations of the HOPE program office at Champlain Commons; provides front line response for those contacting the service area, works with tenants in a friendly, professional manner, answers incoming calls, refers to appropriate party, takes/delivers messages.
  • Independently performs clerical responsibilities including word processing, data entry to agency and program databases, spreadsheets, reports, copying and filing.
  • Provides on-site support and guidance to tenants as requested, offers resources as applicable.
  • Provides linkage and referral to tenants on necessary community services and resources.
  • Ensures safety and well-being of tenants, assists other program staff with upkeep of apartment units.
  • Provides administrative support to Housing Specialists.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have ability to relate to special populations and formerly homeless individuals/families with multiple life difficulties.
  • Must work effectively with tenants and relate in a warm, non-judgmental manner, displaying tact, courtesy and good customer service skills.
  • Must complete all job duties in accordance with a Housing First approach / philosophy.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of community services and resources, awareness of location, purpose and how to access, and assist with referrals.
  • Must be skilled in word processing, data base programs and compiling data for reports.
  • Must be able to work independently and in groups.
  • Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and maintain a driving record within agency policy.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED with one to three years related experience.
