Specialist - OPTIONS
Grade 8 - Start Rate $14.41 per hour
Full-time - 37.5 hours/week with flexibility required
Monday through Friday – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Location: Midtown Plaza, Oswego
Description of Program:
The OPTIONS program provides a variety of services for women to foster improved health outcomes for mothers and babies. OPTIONS provides education on a variety of women’s health, prenatal health, and infant health topics. OCO offers a competitive benefit package, raises for longevity and flexible scheduling.
Works with women and their families to promote women’s and infant health.
Works collaboratively with health care providers and community agencies to provide home visiting, outreach, education, and supportive guidance to women and their families.
Works with people of all backgrounds in a supportive and non-judgmental manner, maintaining professional conduct and participant confidentiality at all times.
HS Diploma or Associates Degree and a minimum of 1 year relatable experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral or Social Science field with at least 3 months relatable experience preferred. Any equivalent combination of training and experience considered.
Basic writing, computer and data entry skills required. Awareness of women’s health, infant health, and geographical layout of the county, and county resources is preferred.
County residents and former OCO clients are encouraged to apply.
Must have a valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record and access to a reliable, properly insured vehicle for reimbursed travel and transport.
