Camp Hollis and Camp Zerbe make Sun Safety a Priority

Jun 11, 2021 - With the safety of the children, staff, and visitors at the forefront of its parks, Oswego City- County Youth Bureau Parks and Recreation partnered with the Cancer Prevention in Action program last year to implement sun safety policies at Camp Hollis and Camp Zerbe. With the positive response the policies received sun safety will again be a priority at both camps.

OCO Head Start Pre-K Program Accepting Applications Now

Jun 11, 2021 - According to OCO Head Start Health and Family Coordinator Toni Ross, “While we will have in-person classes I can assure parents and guardians that for the safety of their children we will be adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines. We will also be limiting visitors and encouraging children to wear masks based on the current CDC and Health Department guidance.”

Sunscreen Dispensers Help Protect Oswego Park Patrons

Jun 11, 2021 - The Cancer Prevention in Action program focuses on educating community members on what they can do to prevent cancer. In 2019 the City of Oswego partnered with CPiA and implemented a sun safety policy at Breitbeck Park. As part of that policy CPiA installed sunscreen dispensers and provided the city with sunscreen.

Now that there are safety measures in place at medical clinics there is no reason to delay screening.
