Senior Fair returns as in-person event on Sept. 22 in Fulton

Area seniors will want to mark their calendars for a special event taking place Friday, September 22nd, the Oswego County Senior Fair. Presented by the Caring Community Advocates, the Oswego County Senior Fair is a highly anticipated event that attracts seniors from all over Oswego County.
“We are happy to be bringing the Senior Fair back as an in-person event,” said Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Coordinator of Community Health Joelle Hutson. “The Senior Fair is a much anticipated and well attended event. Our senior residents look forward to attending this event and appreciate the opportunity to gather the latest information on the many programs and services in Oswego County that are specifically for them. The Senior Fair is a way we can celebrate these members of our community and are looking forward to welcoming them this year.”
The popular event will make its return Friday, September 22nd as an in-person event to be held at the Fulton War Memorial Ice Arena at 609 West Broadway in Fulton from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Senior Fair is free and will feature a number of exhibitors and vendors offering health tips, wellness information, and more, including a number of giveaways. Additionally, in recognition of, Falls Prevention Day, there will be information and demonstrations regarding what seniors can do to help prevent falls.”

“As I have said before I am thrilled to be a part of Caring Community Advocates,” said Jen Rice, care transition liaison with CenterWell Home Health and chairperson of this committee. “We strive to provide as much as we can for our community members and are excited for our event. We had an excellent turn out the last few years and are looking forward to welcoming even more seniors this year’s fair.”
“The Caring Community Advocates Committee is very appreciative of the City of Fulton allowing us to use the ice arena,” added Hutson. “It’s a convenient location with plenty of parking and plenty of space to easily accommodate our vendors and attendees.”
Operating under the auspices of OCO’s Rural Health Network, Caring Community Advocates works to meet the needs of Oswego County’s senior population as well as their caregivers.
