Short‑Term Transportation Assistance Available

Short‑Term Transportation Assistance Available

Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) is offering one‑time, short‑term transportation assistance to help individuals during a time when gas prices are high and transportation can be a challenge. A link to the flyer can be found here.

About the Program

Rising fuel costs and limited transportation options can make it difficult to get to work, medical appointments, school, childcare, and other essential activities. According to OCO’s 2024 Community Needs Assessment, lack of transportation to available jobs is one of the top identified community‑level causes and conditions of poverty in Oswego County, New York. This program is designed to provide short‑term relief and help people stay connected to essential services and opportunities.

Who Is Eligible?

This one‑time transportation assistance is available to people who currently use OCO services*. As funding allows, assistance may also be available to other Oswego County residents.
