We Need Your Help! Strategic Planning and Community Needs Assessment Survey Available!

Oswego County Opportunites (OCO) is starting to plan for our next Strategic Planning Cycle and we need your help! We invite all community members, community stakeholders, and past/present program participants to take our Community Needs Assessment Survey! If you have 5-10 minutes, please consider providing your feedback on what our community needs!
What’s Strategic Planning? Simply put, it is a roadmap for an organization. It is like sitting down and figuring out where you want to go and how you’re going to get there. You consider things like your goals, the challenges you might face, and what resources you’ll need along the way. It’s about making smart decisions to make sure you’re heading in the right direction and making the most out of your resources. OCO is in the process of working on our next Strategic Plan, which will begin in 2025.
What’s a Community Needs Assessment? A community needs assessment is like taking a big picture of our community to see what’s going on and what people need. It involves talking to people, giving surveys, looking at data, and figuring out what services or resources are lacking or could be improved. It’s a 
way to understand the problems and priorities of the community so that our organization can better meet the needs of individuals and families and the community. This information helps inform our Strategic Plan.

Why take the survey? Your input is an incredibly valuable part of our Community Needs Assessment and the Strategic Planning Process! We want to hear from you and hear your thoughts on what OCO does well, where we can improve, and what the unmet needs are of our community and the individuals/families who live and work here are.
